Acuitus Director, Jo Seth-Smith, is joining specialist investment manager, OLIM Property, as Investment Manager.
Acuitus Chairman, Richard Auterac, commented: “Jo has been with us since we established the business in 2010 and has been part of a team which has advised on the sale of more than £1bn of assets.
“Her contribution to our business has been major and in the past two years she has also become an accomplished auctioneer. We are, of course, sad to see her leave but are pleased that she is joining one of our long-standing clients. Our team has doubled in size since Acuitus was founded and we will be looking at further strategic appointments.”
OLIM Property manages £650 million for pension funds, investment trusts and Oxford Colleges, specialising in long index-linked leases.
OLIM Property Chairman, Matthew Oakeshott, commented: “We know Jo well from five years’ active buying and selling at auction and welcome her to help our portfolios perform and our business grow”.
Before joining Acuitus, Jo was at LaSalle Investment Management and JLL and was responsible for advising on disposal strategies and acting for clients including funds, corporate occupiers, property companies and high net-worth investors.
In 2004, she became the first woman to win the RICS Matrics Young Auctioneer of the Year and was subsequently nominated for the Women of the Future 2009 Award.
Commenting on her new role, Jo Seth-Smith said: “I very much look forward to joining the OLIM Property team and am relishing the new challenge. My experience in the private treaty and auction market for the past 13 years has been invaluable and I am sure I will continue to be involved in the auction sector”.
